The remove control is a TextButton again, holding an 11 dp Close icon in
the button's own primary color. Measured on 3x renders of the Downloads
row, light and dark:
base 8828d14 (text button with a multiplication sign):
174 px (58 dp) wide, glyph 20x20 px (6.7 dp)
2e4bc7bff (IconButton, 18 dp icon):
144 px (48 dp) wide, glyph 32x32 px (10.7 dp)
this commit:
174 px (58 dp) wide, glyph 19x19 px (6.3 dp)
The green is the same pixel value in all three.
Two corrections to earlier messages on this branch:
- 2e4bc7bff said it kept the old button's small size inside the same
48 dp touch target. That was wrong: the old text button was 58 dp
wide, the IconButton made it 48 dp, and the 18 dp icon drew a larger
X than the old sign.
- 69ec38e2e said every icon comes from material-icons-extended 1.7.8.
That was wrong: ThumbUp, PlayArrow, Close and CheckCircle are in
material-icons-core 1.7.8 (its class list). The extended artifact
depends on material-icons-core 1.7.8 (its Gradle module file), so the
app already had both; the claim was in the message only.
